Harmonic Rhythm: Brief Explanation with Example

Harmonic rhythm is the rate (duration) at which chords change. Unlike in a chorale or hymn where often each note of the tune is harmonized with its own chord, in FOLK SONGS the chords usually change at a slower rate - often each measure or two.
