Adding and Subtracting Rational Expressions with Like Denominators

by Derek Swierczek on May 05, 2014

This video has 3 examples of adding and subtracting rational expressions that all have common (like) denominators. The first example is an addition example that requires simplification at the end. The second example is subtraction, but the second fraction has a binomial so it's more difficult. The third example requires factoring in numerator and denominator after subtracting.
